2011

I wish all my readers a happy new year 2011. For me it will certainly an exciting one and I am looking forward to having many new experiences.

With the new year also the MBA program changed a bit because the MBA post core started. While in the first four month all students had the same courses the post core mainly consists of electives where you choose four courses out of about twenty. For the first period I chooses courses in Marketing, International Trading, Managerial Economics and Technological Entrepreneurship. The courses are more intense and give you more insights about the subject as it was in the Core. In particular the Tech-Entrepreneurship class seems to be very rewarding and challenging.  MBA students are peered up with engineers with the goal to develop a business plan for a new venture. At the end of the course, the plan will presented and assessed by venture capitalists. In the last years, many successful businesses started in this course. It will be an exciting time.

In between, Andrea and I enjoyed the break in Canada. In addition to Vancouver Island, we also went down to Seattle and went skiing at Mt Baker in US and in the beautiful Whistler Mountains.  It was a good and relaxing time.
